Volunteers are vital to the success of many of the RRO’s clients. Clients often need one-on-one assistance in order to develop their English skills, work on their resumes, and organize their small businesses. Due to the many program demands placed on the RRO staff, they are not always able to spend as much time as they would like with the clients. That is why volunteers are an important part of our organization.
ESL volunteers work in a classroom setting. They assist students in completing assignments and practicing English conversation skills. Classes are held Monday through Thursday, 10am til 12pm. You may volunteer as many days per week as you would like.
Employment volunteers work one on one with refugees to find jobs. You will help search for jobs online, complete applications, and develop and edit resumes. In the process you will help refugees build computer proficiency and learn about workplace culture. Volunteers are needed Tuesday through Thursday, 1pm til 2:30. You may volunteer as many days per week as you would like.
